Photoshop Icons – Pink and Black Music Icon
In this Photoshop Tutorial I will show you how to create the Pink and Black Music Icon in my image. This is a really cool looking icon and it is easy to create. I will write this tutorial in detail so that the new Photoshop users can follow along too. So let's begin..
How to Create a Pink and Black Music Icon in Photoshop
Open your Photoshop program and let it load. Next, you will need to create a new canvas to work on. Click File > New at the top of your Photoshop window to create a new canvas. Create your canvas 150 pixels by 150 pixels. Set your background to the color that you need and click OK on that window. Now you will see your new canvas in your Photoshop window.
Next, we will need to create a new layer to work on. Click Layer > New > Layer at the top of your Photoshop window. Type "Icon Background" in the name field. Then click OK on the box. You will see your new layer in the Layers Panel. If you do not see your Layers Panel, press F7 on your keyboard. F7 will open your Layers Panel.
Next, we will draw the square for your icon background. Select the Rectangle Tool from the toolbar and draw a square on your canvas. You can draw it any size that you want. This will be the background for your icon.
The next step is to Rasterize the Layer. Right click on your Icon Background Layer in your Layers Panel and click Rasterize Layer from the pop up menu. This will make the edges of your square smooth.
